Join us after hours as we go off the rails in a quarterly event series exclusively for our 21+ crowd. Explore a museum, enjoy themed food and programming, plus a cash bar as you experience the museum in a whole new way. Off the Rails After Hours combines your childhood nostalgia with a cash bar and sprinkle of A Night at the Museum.

Layers of Discovery presented by Atomic Data (21+)
Join us for our annual adults-only night at the museum – Layers of Discovery. We are excited to host an evening filled with light bites from local restaurants, creative cocktails, explosive programming and exclusive access to our world-class exhibits. Plus explore our newly-opened exhibit, Ancient Worlds Hiding in Plain Sight (opening Fall 2023).
All proceeds from the event support our plans to reimagine the museum experience and offer new and enhanced programs through the Cincinnati Museum Center’s Champion More Curiosity Campaign. Together we can strengthen our community, transform young minds, and launch quests of discovery.

Girlhood Book Discussion with The Mercantile Library
Enjoy a special after hours visit to see Girlhood (It's complicated) followed by a book reflection of Are You There God? It's Me Margaret led by The Mercantile Library.
Admission includes Featured Exhibit access, parking and light refreshments.

Weekends in October

When October hits, your ghost or goblin is looking for any opportunity to show off their costume. We’re giving you a chance to scare up some fun this Halloween season. While there won’t be trick-or-treating, there will be plenty of entertainment throughout the museums and themed treats available to purchase at Cup & Pint and the Coffee Cart. From dancing the Monster Mash and costume parades to creepy crawlies and science experiments, Weekends at the BOO!seum are all treats and no tricks.
